Fenestra makes energy-efficient windows and balcony doors from wood and wood-aluminum. Founded in 1990, the company operates a 7,500 m2 manufacturing site in Peetri, Estonia. Company’s key customers are the leading construction companies and distributors in Finland and Estonia.
Livonia acquired a majority stake in the company in 2019 to support further growth.

Fenestra specializes in tailor made windows to meet the requirements of the customers. The company’s manufacturing process preserves the wood’s natural aesthetics, as well as the heat and sound insulating qualities, and enhances the products’ durability. Wood offers superior durability to most alternatives – plastic, plastic composite materials, or metal products.

Fenestra acquires a factory in Finland
Livonia Partners portfolio company Fenestra Suomi has acquired assets of the bankrupt Finnish window manufacturer Domus. The purchase includes window and aluminium factories in Loimaa, closed since December 2018 after the previous owner filed for bankruptcy.

Livonia Partners has acquired 60 percent equity stake in Fenestra to support company’s fast growth in export markets. The acquisition has been approved by Estonian Competition Authorities.
